Vintage weddings are chic, unique and can be very inexpensive. There are a few things to keep in mind when shopping for Vintage clothing.
Vintage clothing sizes are smaller than modern sized clothing because people were smaller. You won’t have a choice of sizes, try dresses on if you can or if you are shopping for Vintage clothing online and the measurements aren’t listed contact the seller and request them. Take your own measurements beforehand and write them down and take them with you when you go shopping for your dress or keep them at your computer for a handy reference. Dresses that are a little big are fine you can have it altered, but you can not make a vintage dress bigger.
You can find a guide to show you how and where to measure here:

You can find vintage clothing, shoes, hats and accessories at Flea Markets, Resale Shops, Goodwill Stores, Online at Ebay, Etsy and other websites whose specialty is handmade or vintage items and at your Mom and Grandmothers closet! Be sure to check out their jewelry boxes too! Once you have found your dress, take a whole day or two and bring your maids along with you shopping! It will be fun and you can coordinate the whole look and feel of your wedding.
The Dress: $30.00
I love this dress! A grey floral lace overdress with a peach lining and peach sheer fabric gathered to the back and a balloon hem. At the empire waist is gathered the sheer with a self sheer fabric flower and a grey velvet ribbon. Grey is one of this seasons hottest colors!

The Veil: $25.00
Nothing says vintage more than a birdcage veil. This one by My Birdcage is made of Russian Veiling and is shown with a rose & feather fascinator (purchased separately) . It reminds me of The Great Gatsby.
